This was our first time there,but not the last! All around a great experience. Miriam, our server, was attentive, personable and efficient. The food was delicious, innovative and the wait time was just right, no doubt to a visibly high performance kitchen crew. The presentation was also highly detailed. While it seemed a bit noisy, it was because of the popularity of the venue (full house) and the limited area for seating. It’s hard to find anything outstandingly negative about this place. I feel the prices are reasonable. The menu, though limited, is well thought out and pleasing. Can’t wait to go back! Recommend this location.

If you’re ever within an hour of Kitchener, Ontario when the pangs for the authentic Mexican tastes of home hit hard (I mean, who hasn’t had that feeling?), head in to Don Julio Tacos & Tequila Bar. We were there at the end of May and I’m still tasting the goodness of tacos, margaritas, and my favorite - guacamole. Salivating yet? Yeah you know it’s time! Even the Coke there is authentic Mexican recipe. They went all out to bring the “arriba!” right to the table and down in the feels! We loved our experience there

Awesome dining experience. The food was amazing, we especially loved the tostada and yuca fries. The ambience is great; open kitchen was spotless. This restaurant caters to different allergies/dietary restrictions (gluten free, dairy free) but you could never tell by the taste. Big thank you to our server Matthew for the great service, answering all of our questions, and delicious recommendations! We will definitely be back.

this is a new fav spot! i’m obsessed, the food is so so good and that mango habanero margarita is addicting. if ur craving tacos u haveee to try this place, the juice from the meat was literally dripping down my hand. the bowl is also very good. we literally fell in love with our server, she was the most attentive server i’ve ever had. she would check in at all the right times, and bring over things that we needed before we even realized that we needed them!? she even poured our friend who was driving a shot of iced tea so that he could be included in taking shots with the rest of us—it was so sweet and thoughtful of her and we loved it!

Amazing. The Dining room was completely full so I was expecting to have quite a wait as we sat on the patio but was pleasantly surprised. The strawberry margarita and pineapple margaritas were absolutely delicious. I’d never had Yucca fries before and was absolutely blown away by how crispy but light they were, like biting into clouds with crunch. And the Pollo tacos??? So good, it was the first time I’d ever enjoyed radish! I can’t eat onion and they made special effort to make sure my sensitivity was accommodated. The host and server were both so sweet. Please, if you’ve thought of going to Don Julio’s please do! Try the margaritas, they are outstanding.

Don Julio Tacos & Tequila Bar was amazing in so many ways. From the fast service to the tasty food, I had a great time. The service was really quick and the staff were super friendly. Miriam, especially, made our visit special. She was so nice and checked on us a lot to make sure we were happy!!! The food was incredibly delicious. Everything we tried was full of flavor and I'd give it a perfect 10/10. The tacos were especially good. Even though the food and service were top-notch, the prices were fair. You get a lot for what you pay, so it's a great deal. Overall, I had an awesome time at Don Julio Tacos & Tequila Bar. It was definitely worth the wait. I'd recommend it to anyone! I can't wait to come back for more delicious food and good times.

Don Julio – The Date Night Saver! Huge shoutout to Don Julio for not only serving incredible food but also saving me from the eternal “I don’t know, you pick” debate with my wife. If you know, you know. We ordered a mix of veg and beef tacos (because compromise is key), along with guacamole and dip that disappeared way too fast. The drinks? Absolute bangers—the virgin margarita was refreshingly perfect, and the Mango Habanero was the right mix of sweet and spicy, much like my wife’s reactions when I steal food off her plate. The ambience was spot on, cozy enough for date night but lively enough to make us stay longer than we planned. The staff? Unmatched. So friendly, I almost felt like they knew I needed a win tonight. Final verdict: If you’re looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a place that keeps both carnivores and vegetarians happy (and still married), Don Julio is the place to be! 10/10, will definitely be back—probably next time I forget an anniversary.

Had my second and third visits to Don Julio’s within the last week and I really do love this spot. The staff are welcoming and passionate about their food and drinks and the atmosphere is great. I’ve ordered different tacos, shared a platter with friends, and this last time around got the short ribs (pictured) which practically fell off the bone themselves. Oh, and the street corn is a must-try appetizer!
